NAWBL Pride Pioneers
Each summer, the league's coaches choose between 15 and 18 of the most skilled and dedicated players to compete in national and international women's baseball tournaments. The Pride Pioneers (formally known as the Lady Spirit) have traveled internationally to compete against national teams in Japan, Canada, and the Dominican Republic. In the United States, the team has entered the AAU sanctioned Roy Hobbs Women's National Championship in four of the past six years. In addition, the Pioneers have competed in several tournaments held in the Great Lakes region and along the Atlantic corridor.
This team provides an opportunity for NAWBL's athletes to play competitive baseball while serving as ambassadors of their league.
